Synopsis

George Green was the founder and entrepreneur of SABEX manufacturing Pty. Ltd. A South-African based company with a subsidiary in Brisbane, Australia. He designed and engineered air brake components for the heavy duty truck & bus industry. A highly successful business exporting world wide and had won numerous business and export awards. His down fall began when he wanted to grow his business from a 45 million Rand a year to 120 million Rand per year.

To this end SuperGroup offered to purchase 50% shareholding and become the financing partner with George Green supplying the technical expertise. His story will illustrate how SuperGroup had other intentions for him, which included not paying him the shares, dismissing him and trying to obtain his 49.95 % share holding, again without paying in the process. Labeling him a criminal, a fugitive from justice and lacking in experience to run SABEX. The court case is currently under arbitration. However, SuperGroup have sold all the assets in SABEX to a third party making the arbitration a joke. Please read through his website links and make your own observations.

SuperGroup is notorious for their unconventional business practice and go about their business with the aid of the like of the JSE and other large corporate entities. There is no protection for minority share holders in South-Africa or fair trading ombudsmen.
